PROVERBS 2:1-5 AMPLIFIED BIBLE

1 MY SON, if you will receive my words and treasure up my commandments within you,
2 Making your ear attentive to skillful and godly [a]Wisdom and inclining and directing your heart and mind to understanding [applying all your powers to the quest for it];
3 Yes, if you cry out for insight and raise your voice for understanding,
4 If you seek [Wisdom] as for silver and search for skillful and godly Wisdom as for hidden treasures,
5 Then you will understand the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of [our omniscient] God.(A)

We should earnestly seek God at all times. Seek wisdom...ask Him for it and He will give it to you. If we constantly seek God and His wisdom, He will help us to stay righteous. It would help us tremendously If we have reverential fear of the Lord. It says if we seek wisdom, then we will understand the reverent fear of the Lord and find knowledge. That is what I want - the wisdom and the knowledge. One of the main principles is to seek Him at all times. We also need to keep His commandments. We need to seek the knowledge of the Lord diligently. Studying the Word and having a relationship with the Lord will help to bring knowledge and understanding. If you don't understand something that you read in the Word, all you have to do is ask Him and He'll tell you. You just need to listen for His voice. But be careful and make sure it is His voice you are hearing. Search in the Word for hidden treasures. It is so exciting to study the Word of God and then when He gives you the understanding of it, you just want to shout it out! It also helps to give us guidance in our every day life. The key is to make an effort on our part to read the Word, meditate upon it, be in prayer and ask God to give you revelation. But again the key is to just do it. Quit making excuses that you are so tired and want to just rest. Rest in His Word. His Word is Wisdom and it is a treasure we should all be looking forward to receiving.
