John 14:18 Amplified Bible
18 I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you.

At this time of year, many people are feeling lonely. It is so nice to know that God will never leave us. He will always comfort us. We never have to feel alone because He is with us always. We are not orphans...He is our Father. We have the Spirit of adoption. He has adopted us into His Kingdom. We are His children! His love is all we need. If you know someone who is lonely or is experiencing rough times through these holidays, please tell them about Jesus and how they can have His peace and His love too. If you are a believer and still have problems with loneliness, go to a brother or sister in Christ and talk to them. You could also go to the Father and ask Him to help you through this. Another thing you could do is go volunteer at a homeless shelter or try to help someone who is less fortunate than you are. Yes you might be going through some emotions, but pick yourself up and help someone else. It is amazing how this can make you feel! You not only help yourself but you also help someone else get through.

Here are some more Scriptures to get you through. Isaiah 58:9, Isaiah 43:4, Genesis 28:15. You can always look in the back of your Bible. Sometimes it will give you Scriptures for loneliness, fear, etc. Pick up that Bible and read it!! Find someone in your church family and talk to them if things get really bad. They will give you encouragement and support. And of course you can always just cry out to God! He will answer you!
