Proverbs 3:23-24 NIV

23 Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble;
24 when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

This is a short verse but a good one (as they all are). When we keep God's Word inside of us, then we know God promises to keep us safe. I just love this verse. I have prayed it many times over myself, my children and my grandchildren. It is just so good that when we lie down, our sleep will be a sweet sleep! We are under the protection of His grace. It is the supply of His Word that guides us through every day. That is why it is so important to stay in the Word. Proverbs is the Book of Wisdom. Wisdom comes from the Word of God. Whenever we go to bed at night, we should always pray this Scripture. We should commit ourselves to God and know that He will keep us safe. There will be no worry about robbers breaking in, anyone trying to hurt us while we are asleep, nothing to disturb our sleep and that it will be a peaceful, sweep sleep. It will be a sleep that will be refreshing and pleasant. There will be no disturbing thoughts or any nightmares. God is a good God! He loves us so much that He will even protect us when we are sleeping.
