Hosea 10:12 NIV

12 Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the LORD, until he comes and showers righteousness on you.

Pastors have been telling us to Seek God. It is important that we do this. Pastor JoAnn gave us this definition of seek - strive for, obtain for, require by necessity, crave. That's what I want - to crave God! It should be something that we do every single day. Not just because He tells us to come and seek Him but because we want to and need to seek Him. We should get our heart to the place where we just crave for God. Sow yourself in the seed of the Lord...the Word of God. Break up your fallow ground so that the seeds can be planted and fertilized. Don't let your hearts be in ground that is full of weeds that can wrap around you heart and destroy it. Sow in good seeds so that you heart may be alive and beating for His heart. Remember a heart to heart connection. You don't want any weeds to disconnect your heart for God. In the NASB Bible it says "Reap in accordance with kindness." This term kindness is the Hebrew term hesed and it means "covenant loyalty." A covenant loyalty toward God and toward covenant partners. That is just sooo good!!!
