Luke 2:11-14 NIV
11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ[a] the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." 13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
The shepherds hurried and came to the place where Jesus was born. They made known that He was the Savior. They rejoiced in their blessings of the Savior. The shepherds had faith that what they heard was true. There were whole armies of angels. This is so good. Whole armies of angels were sent because this was such an important event. God is good and we should give Him the highest praise. The shepherds would have a sign - finding a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. I read in one commentary that the babe, the swaddle and the manger were the three tokens. We should rejoice too that we know Jesus and that we enjoy God's loving kindness. He sent His Son to us so we could be saved. Thank Him for His love, grace and mercy! He is the Prince of Peace. The peace of His Gospel and His good will toward men is just so awesome. His peace comes upon those who have accepted Him as their Savior. Savior in Hebrew means "deliverer." Thank you Lord for deliverance! Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year!! Happy birthday Jesus!!
