Proverbs 22:6

6 Train [a] a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it

This Scripture is so good. You need to bring a child up in the church and in the Word and when he gets older, he will not turn from it. They will remember it and will be equipped to handle trials and tribulations that may come their way. If I would have heard the Word and also would have been taught the Word when I was a child, I would have been more equipped to face all the challenges that laid ahead of me. As parents we need to prepare and equip our children for the calling in their lives. In my notes there is a word - inborn - fear of noise and fear of falling. Any other fear comes from the enemy.

Children's church is so important and we need to keep the teachers in our prayers. We are there to teach them the Word of God and teach them how much He loves them. Children learn by example. If parents have a heart for God, children will follow their example. Show them God's unconditional love. As teachers and parents, we are responsible for our children. We are held accountable. In Proverbs 23:13-14 it says we should not hold correction from a child. Children need boundaries and a stable environment. It is our duty as parents to show them and discipline them. Deuteronomy 6:6-7 commands us to teach our children diligently the commandments which our Lord has given us. We should always talk to them about God. The Word also says there are commandments to the children and that they should be obedient to their parents. Let your children know that God will never leave or forsake them. As our children are getting ready to go to school, whether it be elementary, high school or college, we need to pray with our children. Prayer is so important. Pray with them in your house, in your car, before they go into the school...just wherever....have praise and worship music in the car. Send angels to protect and guide them. Let them know that they are covered in the Blood!
