Ephesians 2:10 NIV

10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Read this whole book of Ephesians - it is just so good. This epistle was written when Paul was a prisoner in Rome. This is about God's power and how He created us for a purpose. He prepared it in advance for us. He knew what we were going to do before we were even born. That's awesome! We are to bring souls into God's Kingdom. We can do that by showing good will towards our brothers and sisters. We are to walk in a manner that is showing Jesus' love in us. Our duty is to show our neighbors love; whether it is our neighbors at home, our co-workers, the lady in the store who doesn't have enough money to pay for her groceries. You get the picture...sometimes just listening to someone who is going through rough times. Be there for them. Yes, even the one at work who might really be on your nerves! You don't really know what they might be going through. If they say something that just wants to make you say something negative to them, remember the Scripture in Proverbs 15:1 (the Book of wisdom) that "A gentle answer turns away wrath." Even if they are nasty to you, just give them a "gentle answer." It's amazing how it works...I think they are shocked that you are not being mean to them. Show everyone how we were saved by God's grace and mercy.
