Psalm 100:3-4
3 Know (perceive, recognize, and understand with approval) that the Lord is God! It is He Who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His]! We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.(A)
4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name!
I love this. This is a Psalm of praise. Know that the Lord is God! It cannot be any more plain than that...He made us and how awesome is it that we are His people and we are His sheep! He is the Great Shepherd and will always watch over us and take care of us. If we start to stray away from Him and He pulls us back in; then we should be encouraged to worship and praise Him and do it with great joy. Our motives to worship and thank Him are very important. We need to do it because God is God. Know who He is and what He has done for us. God has given us so many promises. He strengthens our faith, He comforts us and shows us His grace and mercy. Tell Him that He is worthy of all our praise! Praise Him for He is the One True God!
