Joel 2:13 (Amplified Bible)
13Rend your hearts and not your garments and return to the Lord, your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in loving-kindness; and He revokes His sentence of evil [when His conditions are met].
This is a call to repentance. It says to rend your hearts and return to God. God is full of mercy and He loves us so much. But He also expects us to obey Him and repent when we sin. We must be truly sorry for them. Our God is a forgiving God. We are in the last days so we need to pick up our steps. Search our hearts and repent. Just keep on reading the Word but also seek God and see what He is saying in this hour. We need to be awake and alert for when the alarm sounds. Awake church! There is much to be done and little time to do it. We serve an awesome God. Serve Him with a pure heart.
God is gracious and merciful but we also need to realize that the time is short. We need to remember there will also be judgments. Oh Father, we want to seek You at all times. Give us pure hearts. Thank You for Your grace and mercy. We do not want to take it for granted. We repent for how we have been lazy and moaning, groaning and complaining. We appreciate what You do for us and we are willing to go the extra mile and preach the Good News! If we truly love Him, we will obey His Word.
If you have turned away from God, I urge you to repent and get back your relationship with Him. If you have a bad attitude, make a change - change your actions. God wants our whole hearts. He doesn't want us to just sit on the chairs every Sunday in church and do nothing the rest of the week. He wants us to go help others to come to know His Son, Jesus.
