Galatians 6:7-9 NIV

7Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature[a]will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

God knows our hearts as well as our actions. He cannot be mocked because He cannot be deceived. If you live a carnal life, then all you can expect to reap is ruin and misery. But if you live a faithful live in Christ, then you will receive bountiful blessings. Sometimes we might get tired of doing good things and doing our duty to God. We should be on watch and be on guard so we do not get tired and just want to quit. If we please the Holy Spirit, we will "reap eternal life." That is so good. We don't want to grow weary and tired and give up. We are told to help our neighbors and the poor. Some people think they can deceive God and get away with not helping others. But our God sees everything that we do. We cannot fool Him.
Sometimes we will start something that is good like collecting clothes for the poor or helping serve food at a mission. Then we just start to get tired of doing it and just fade out. We need to continue to do good things and we will then reap a great harvest. I can't think of anything better to reap then more souls coming into the Kingdom! As opportunities come to us to help others, let us remember this Scripture. Go out and sow seeds so that the harvest can come into the Kingdom. Many, many souls! Thank you Jesus! Don't just give empty words and tell God that you will do what He has asked you to do and then quit before it gets done. Go and do and do not be weary. You will see the harvest in God's time! It will come!!
