PROVERBS 3:11-12

11 My child, do not reject the Lord's discipline, and don't get angry when he corrects you. 12 The Lord corrects those he loves, just as parents correct the child they delight in.

Here's something from the Book of Wisdom - Proverbs. Our Father loves us so much that He will correct us when we are wrong. Unfortunately, many people take on a spirit of offense, get mad at the Father and do not want to take correction. It says in this Scripture that the Lord correct us just like parents correct a child. Discipline is often necessary to teach a child the right way to go. It is the same with our Father in heaven. He sometimes needs to discipline us so He can set us on the right track. We should humble ourselves and submit to Him because He loves us so much.

Seeking wisdom sometimes mean that we need to respond to His correction properly. Our Father cares for us and He knows what is best for us. Sometimes He corrects us so that we will be able to produce more fruit. If we reject these corrections, we may never reach our full potential that God has for us. I don't know about you but I want to be able to reach my full potential and do all that God wants me to do for His Kingdom. If we reject His correction, it could be very dangerous for us. We should not be impatient and do not act like we are tired of always going through things. We heard that this year is about choices. We can make the choice on how to live our lives. Sometimes God uses our Pastors to give us corrections. Be glad that they and our Father love us enough to correct us. The Pastors want to make sure we go in the right direction. We have the choice to accept or reject these corrections. I would suggest that we accept them and correct what we are doing wrong - be grateful and glad that it will produce something good. We can avoid many troubles if we just submit, admit we were wrong and then do what God tells us to do. So this year, let us accept our corrections and make changes in our lives - the changes that our loving Father wants us to make. Let this be a year of abundant fruit in our lives so we can produce fruit for others.
