Psalm 66:1-4
1 Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!

2 Sing out the honor of His name; Make His praise glorious.
3 Say to God,“How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.
4 All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah
Make a joyful shout to God all the earth. Praise God for His awesome works. This is just so good. We should always make a joyful shout. Not just being happy but being joyful for everything He has done. Happiness depends on your circumstances but joy comes through us. The definition of joy is intense and especially ecstatic or exultant happiness and the expression or manifestation of such feeling. Joy is being happy inside even when things aren't going very well. God is the only one who can give us the kind of happiness that makes us joyful. This Psalm is to praise God for His awesome works. We should always praise and worship Him. Sing praises to His Name just because of who He is. I have been thinking a lot about praising God. There have been times when I just really didn't feel like doing anything let alone let out a shout of praise but if we push through all our emotions and just praise Him, the joy will come. It's been amazing to me that when I go and press through and just shout, how the joy comes through and I feel so much better. Praise must be vocal. It stirs our souls. So when you feel down and out, just go ahead and praise our God who does awesome works.
