Galatians 6 NIV
Doing Good to All

1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.
2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
3 If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
4Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else,
5 for each one should carry his own load.

In this Scripture, it says we should bear one another's burdens. If we know someone is in sin, we should help him. We need to be compassionate towards each other. Sometimes we make ourselves out to be something we are not. We "puff" ourselves up and have others think we are in a better position than others. I think that's something we probably do a lot whether we admit it or not...whether it is on the job or in ministry. Sooner or later we will be put in our place. Sometimes we think that when we sin it is just a little sin but sin is sin. I hope I'm making sense here. Even if we think it's a little sin, it still comes on as a burden and it gets heavier and heavier. When our brothers and sisters sin, we need to lead them back and help them see their error and mend their ways. If we think we are strong and never need help, we are sadly mistaken.

Even though we should help one another with burdens as it says in Verse 2, in Verse 4 it says to test our own actions. That means we have to account before God what we have done. We have to take responsibility for our action/sin. So this doesn't mean it's a free ride. As ministers of the Gospel, we need to tell them when someone is in sin but when we see that they have repented, we need to comfort them and support them. Paul is teaching us how to deal with our brothers and sisters who have sinned. Don't judge them but lift them up and help them.
